Support our work and get closer to the music.
As a Friend, you support the work of WESP vzw, the organisation behind Merodefestival. With your support we invest in high-quality concerts, new music, fairly paid musicians, unique residencies and inspiring collaborations. Because talent deserves not just a stage, but also the framework and support to grow.
What do you get as a Friend?
- Inside information and updates on our projects.
- A newsletter every year with our successes and the impact of your donation.
- In March, a tax certificate for donations of € 40 or more: 30 % tax reduction, so every 40 euros costs you just 28 euros net.
Our mission
WESP is the incubator for the folk landscape in Flanders. We support musicians in their development, enable them to create new music, offer them a tailor-made stage and build international connections.
We are building a sustainable future, inspired by rooted stories, heritage and nature. We create encounters, closeness and connection with and between musicians, the genre and a broad audience.
Tradition is passing on the flame and not worshipping the ashes.
Join the Friends of Merodefestival and help build a sustainable future for folk and world music.
