Four female voices from the Languedoc, together for more than twenty years. La Mal Coiffée sings exclusively in Occitan and builds its music on two pillars: polyphonic singing and percussion on traditional drums. No electric instruments, no artificial layer — just voice and rhythm.
Their latest albums Roge and Rojas are about resistance, disobedience and the people’s history of the Languedoc; the French press described their music as "un coup de gueule" — literally a cry from the throat. This is not nostalgic folklore, but a living language that refuses to disappear.
"La Mal Coiffée speaks for all oppressed cultures. Powerful." — Anne Berthod, Télérama
